On April 30, the Forum on High-Quality Development of Biomedicine and the Academic Symposium in celebration of the 105th anniversary of Nanchang University (NCU) were held. Chen Yeguang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and president of Nanchang University, met with attending experts, engaging in in-depth exchanges on topics including how to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation and promote high-quality development of pharmaceutical sciences. Pan Bingxing, vice president of Nanchang University, attended the event.
Pan Bingxing delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, reviewing the university's history, the construction of its "Double First-Class" university initiative, and the achievements made in the development of pharmaceutical and medical disciplines. He stated that the university will continue to focus on key core technologies in the medical and pharmaceutical fields, steadily advance the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and further integrate industry with education, so as to serve the “Healthy China” strategy and support regional economic and social development.
During the academic report session, 12 experts and scholars from renowned universities, including China Pharmaceutical University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University, Central South University, Shandong University, Jinan University, and Southern Medical University, delivered reports and engaged in exchanges on topics such as innovative drug discovery and translation, clinical precision medication and digital intelligence modeling, as well as the development of pharmaceutical disciplines and the construction of talent training systems.
More than 400 people from the biomedical field in China, including experts and scholars, industry elites, as well as faculty and student representatives，participated in the event。
